Full job description

Chef/Cook Wanted!

Are you passionate about cooking and thrive in a busy kitchen? We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Part-Time Chef/Cook to join the team at Merlin's Magic LTD – Pembrokeshire's magical children's soft play centre and café.

This role is primarily weekends, with additional hours available during school holidays and our busiest periods.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our kitchen team, you'll help deliver delicious, freshly prepared food while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and cooking a variety of meals to a consistently high standard.
Working closely with the kitchen team and directors to develop new menu ideas and seasonal specials.
Maintaining excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety standards at all times.
Managing stock levels, ordering supplies and helping to minimise food waste.
Supporting and encouraging other kitchen team members to create a positive and efficient working environment.
Helping ensure every family visiting Merlin's Magic enjoys a fantastic food experience.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience working as a Chef or Cook in a busy kitchen.
A good understanding of food hygiene and food safety regulations.
The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
A positive attitude, friendly personality and strong customer focus.
Flexibility to work weekends, school holidays and additional shifts during busy periods.
