Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will support the head chef and sous chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences by assisting in food preparation, kitchen management, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking to ensure dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
Support the senior kitchen team in supervising daily kitchen operations and maintaining a smooth workflow
Help oversee food safety protocols, sanitation, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen area
Contribute to food production by preparing ingredients, garnishes, and components for various menu items
Manage team members during shifts by providing guidance, training, and motivation to uphold high service standards
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless serving of dishes and excellent guest experiences
Assist in inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Demonstrated supervising experience or team management skills in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating delicious dishes and improving techniques
Effective leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members
Solid understanding of food production processes and restaurant operations
Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff effectively
