Operations Manager

Location: Flint, North Wales (covering North Wales & North West England)

Salary: £60,000–£70,000 per year (depending on experience)

About QSD

QSD is one of the fastest-growing fire protection contractors in North Wales, providing specialist services including:

Residential & domestic fire sprinkler systems
Passive fire stopping
Fire doors
Dry risers
Fire alarm systems
Fire risk assessments

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of our operations, allowing our Managing Director to focus on strategic growth.

This is a senior leadership role with genuine autonomy and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of the business.

The Role

You will be responsible for ensuring our operations run efficiently, safely and profitably.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing all day-to-day operations across multiple live projects.
Leading and developing our office and operational teams.
Planning labour and resources to maximise efficiency and minimise travel.
Chairing weekly operations and planning meetings.
Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Monitoring KPIs and operational performance.
Holding managers and teams accountable for agreed actions.
Improving systems, processes and operational efficiency.
Working closely with the Managing Director to support the continued growth of the business.
Maintaining excellent relationships with clients, developers and suppliers.

About You

We're looking for someone who is an exceptional organiser and leader.

You'll ideally have:

At least 10 years' experience in an operational leadership role.
Experience within fire protection, M&E, HVAC, building services or specialist construction.
A proven track record of managing multiple projects and operational teams.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Experience improving business processes and operational performance.
Commercial awareness and the ability to manage budgets and profitability.
Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
The confidence to challenge, coach and hold people accountable.
