The Opportunity

We're a fast-growing, multi-award-winning business with around 140 employees, working across both the public and private sectors. As we continue to grow and evolve, we're looking for a Finance Administrator to join our Finance team on a 3-6 month fixed-term contract.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys keeping things organised, solving problems and making sure the details are right. You'll support both our Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities, helping to keep our day-to-day finance operations running smoothly.

What makes this role particularly exciting is that you'll be joining us as we prepare to launch a brand-new ERP system. You'll play an important part in supporting the team through implementation, go-live and the transition period, giving you the chance to gain valuable experience during a significant business project.

Whether your background is in finance administration, accounts payable, accounts receivable or another transactional finance role, we'd love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Up To:

Accounts Receivable

Supporting the day-to-day administration of customer accounts.
Allocating and reconciling customer payments against outstanding invoices.
Sending customer statements and payment reminders.
Following up on straightforward overdue accounts by phone and email.
Responding to customer account and invoice queries, working with colleagues across the business where needed.
Setting up new customer accounts and maintaining accurate customer information.
Reconciling invoices, payments and credit notes.
Escalating disputed balances or account issues when required.
Keeping clear and accurate records of customer communications and account activity.

Accounts Payable

Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
Matching invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation where applicable.
Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations.
Investigating invoice discrepancies and helping to resolve queries with suppliers and internal teams.
Maintaining accurate supplier account records.
Ensuring invoices and financial documentation are filed correctly.
Monitoring outstanding items and following up where approvals or information are needed.

General Finance Administration

Providing administrative support across the Finance function.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Assisting with reconciliations and investigating any differences.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to resolve finance queries efficiently.
Providing additional support during busy periods and key project milestones.

Is This You?

We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys working as part of a team. You'll also have:

Previous experience in a finance, accounts or transactional administration role.
Experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable or both (desirable).
Confidence communicating with customers and suppliers by phone and email.
Good Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
The ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to change.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A practical, positive approach to problem solving.
A collaborative style and the ability to build strong working relationships.
