Registered Manager – Residential Care Home
Brixham, TQ5
£45,000 – £50,000 per annum + up to £6,000 performance bonus
Full-time | Permanent

A well-established residential care home in Brixham is looking for a Registered Manager to take the reins of a home with a strong local reputation, steady staffing, and high occupancy. This isn't a home that needs fixing. It needs someone who can build on solid foundations, bring confident leadership, and keep raising the bar on care.

About the home

The organisation behind this home operates on three principles: compassion, respect, and integrity. Not slogans on a wall, but how they actually run things day to day.

Managers here aren't left to handle everything alone. HR, payroll, recruitment, and finance are managed centrally, so your time goes where it should: with your team and your residents. Their consistent approach to care means you're stepping into clear standards and a trusted structure from day one.

What you'll be doing

Leading a long-standing staff team already delivering good, person-centred care
Working closely with an established Deputy Manager to strengthen leadership across the home
Reviewing day-to-day practices and refreshing routines where standards can be sharpened
Keeping the home fully compliant with CQC regulations and internal quality frameworks
Making good use of existing systems and policies rather than reinventing them
Being a clear, consistent point of contact for staff, residents, families, and external professionals

What you'll bring

Solid experience as a Registered Manager in residential care
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Health and Social Care (or working towards it)
Eligibility to register with CQC as the home's Registered Manager
The ability to earn trust quickly, coach a team, and run daily operations with confidence
Comfort with electronic care planning systems and general IT
A steady hand with audits, care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding compliance
Right to work in the UK (sponsorship isn't available for this role)

We'd also love to hear from Deputy Managers who are ready to take the step up into their first Registered Manager role, with the right support in place to help you succeed.

£45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience, plus up to £6,000 annual performance bonus
