Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a smooth workflow. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the hospitality and catering industry, whether you have previous experience or are eager to learn.

Duties

Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff
Supporting the organisation and cleanliness of kitchen workstations and storage areas
Ensuring all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
Restocking supplies and ingredients as needed to facilitate smooth service operations
Adhering to all health, safety, and food hygiene standards at all times

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and general kitchen procedures is desirable
Strong organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
Flexibility to work shifts as required within hospitality settings
