Textile Cutter Experience not essential

Full-Time | Permanent

39 hours per week

Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm, Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm

JTS Cushions Ltd is a UK leading Cushion & Soft Seating Manufacturer with over 20 years in the trade proud to be a family run Yorkshire Manufacturer. Keeping competitive within the market we have our own Cut & Sew and filling departments offering customers various cushion and bead filling options.

The Role:

The Textile Cutter will work in the cutting room of a busy manufacturing facility, preparing and cutting fabrics to support the production needs of the sewing department. The role involves measuring materials accurately, working from CAD drawings and production plans, following specifications, and ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

· Laying up fabrics for cutting

· Working from CAD drawings, templates, layouts, and production plans

· Measuring accurately using both metric and imperial units

· Cutting materials accurately to specification

· Following work instructions and manufacturing specifications

· Learning and using new software packages

· Maintaining production throughput for the sewing department

Required Skills

· Good attention to detail and accuracy

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Willingness to learn new systems and processes

Personal Qualities

· Reliable timekeeper

· Health and safety conscious

· Organised with good communication skills

Someone looking to start or develop a career in textile manufacturing who is practical, accurate, willing to learn, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
