Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating flatbed lorries to deliver goods efficiently and reliably. This role requires a strong focus on safety, excellent driving skills, and experience in commercial driving and delivery operations. The ideal applicant will possess a valid HGV licence, with previous delivery driver experience preferred.

Monday-Friday

9am starts.

Starting Monday 29th June

Responsibilities

Safely operate a flatbed HGV Class 2 vehicle to transport goods to various locations
Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, adhering to schedules and routes
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly
Secure loads appropriately to prevent movement during transit
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
Follow all relevant health and safety regulations during driving and loading/unloading processes
Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients as required
Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles
Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation
Ability to handle physical tasks related to loading and securing cargo
Excellent organisational skills and punctuality
Strong communication skills and professional attitude
Flexibility to work various shifts as required
