Location: Woolshops Shopping Centre, Halifax
Job Type: Permanent (Part time)

Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 – 16:00 (30 hours per week)
Pay: £13.20 per hour during 3-month probation, rising to £13.35 per hour upon successful completion

About the Role

Frontier Facilities Management is seeking a reliable and professional Customer Service Operative to join our team at Woolshops Shopping Centre in Halifax.

This is a dual-role position, combining security, cleaning, and general customer service duties within a busy retail environment. The role requires flexibility, a proactive attitude, and pride in maintaining high standards across all aspects of site operations.

Candidates must be comfortable undertaking both security and cleaning responsibilities as part of this combined role.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver excellent customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors
Carry out internal and external cleaning to maintain high site standards
Support general site upkeep and basic maintenance tasks
Provide a visible security presence through patrols and monitoring
Operate CCTV systems
Manage reception/front desk duties, including meeting and greeting
Monitor access, egress, and car park activity
Liaise professionally with Centre Management and tenants
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures
Complete clear and accurate incident and shift reports
Work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions

Essential Requirements

Valid SIA Door Supervision Licence OR Security Guarding Licence (Frontline)
Valid First Aid qualification
Strong customer service and communication skills
Good physical fitness and ability to work on foot for extended periods
High level of awareness and attention to detail
Professional, reliable, and punctual
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Fully checkable 5-year employment or education history

Desirable

SIA CCTV Licence (preferred)
Previous experience in a dual-role environment
Experience within a shopping centre or public-facing setting
Minimum 2 year relevant experience
