Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, assisting with patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with pharmacy technician experience or those interested in developing a career in pharmacy and healthcare services. The position is paid and requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and patient safety.

Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, packaging, and labelling
Provide excellent patient care by answering medication-related questions and offering guidance on usage
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and inventory levels
Support the organisation of pharmacy stock, including ordering and stock rotation
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper storage of medicines
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Uphold confidentiality and maintain professional standards at all times

Skills

Previous pharmacy experience in the UK is necessary
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good understanding of health and safety regulations within a pharmacy setting
