Join Badby Park in Daventry as a Maintenance Gardner where you will be part of creating a well- presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose, gardening and will regularly conduct audits to identify and repair any faults ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff and visitors.

Working alongside an established team, you will turn your hand to all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.

You’ll receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better. As a Maintenance Assistant you will have:

Assisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose.
Utilising good DIY skills to ensure safety of service users is maintained.
Assisting in regular checks and maintenance.
Assisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
Assisting in all decorating.
Liaising with a manager reporting all faults and defects.
Participating in a 1 week retaining on-call rota for the purposes of emergency maintenance.
Coordinating and supporting contractors whilst on site and completing of all paperwork and tool checks.
Maintain all outdoor spaces, ensuring they are clean, tidy, and safe.
Carry out lawn mowing, hedge trimming, pruning, weeding, planting, and seasonal gardening tasks.
Maintain flowerbeds, borders, and landscaped areas to a high visual standard.
Ensure pathways, car parks, and garden areas are free from debris, leaves, snow, or ice.
Monitor the condition of outdoor furniture, fencing, signage, and other fixtures, repairing or reporting issues as required.

To be successful in this role, you will:

To comply with system and procedures.
Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
To work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of service.
Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

Where you will be working:

Badby Road West, Daventry, Northamptonshire, NN11 4NH

You will be working alongside the clinical teams at Badby Park to care for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries, where you will deliver person-centred care where each individual is at the heart of everything you do.

This specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service which boasts extensive facilities that cater for specific needs of the residents that is set in acres of stunning countryside on the outskirts of Daventry.

Badby Park is a grand manor house steeped in history with stunning views, excellent facilities and a tranquil setting. Good road links makes it easily commutable from Daventry, Rugby, Northampton and Banbury.
