Job description

Home First Community Team are looking for a dedicated and resilient Out of Hours Coordinator to support our domiciliary care service outside of standard office hours. This is a vital role ensuring continuity of care for our clients and providing support to care staff when they need it most.

You will be the first point of contact for urgent issues, staffing challenges, and service user needs—ensuring safe, responsive, and person-centred care at all times.

Hours: 18 Hours per week, rota pattern will include evenings, weekends and Bank holidays

You will be working with and supported by a dynamic and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate care delivery during out-of-hours periods
Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies and last-minute changes
Support and guide care staff, ensuring confidence and continuity
Solve problems quickly and effectively to maintain service quality
Communicate clearly with staff, service users, and professionals
Use IT systems to update schedules, records, and communications
Ensure all decisions reflect safeguarding and best practice principles

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
