Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional food quality. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. The Chef will play a vital role in creating a welcoming dining environment and maintaining high standards of service. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is essential, along with a proven track record in supervising and team management.

We primarily cater for mobile events so driving is a must.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen operations.
Train and mentor junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
Develop new menu items in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant environment.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Excellent team management and leadership abilities.
Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in food presentation.
Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff.
