Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a smooth and efficient service experience. This role involves assessing customer needs, recommending appropriate services, and maintaining excellent communication throughout the repair process. A strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and exceptional customer service skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and establish a professional rapport to understand their vehicle concerns.
Assess vehicle issues through effective communication with customers and technicians.
Provide accurate estimates for repairs and services, including upselling additional maintenance when appropriate.
Coordinate with the workshop team to schedule repairs and ensure timely completion of work.
Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper records of all financial dealings.
Keep customers informed about the progress of their vehicle repairs or services, managing expectations effectively.
Promote additional services or products that meet customer needs, maximising sales opportunities through upselling techniques.
Ensure all customer interactions are documented clearly in the system for future reference.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.

Skills

Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Mechanical knowledge or understanding of vehicle systems is highly desirable to explain repairs effectively.
Proven ability in upselling products or services without being pushy, enhancing customer satisfaction.
Cash handling experience with accuracy in processing payments and managing receipts.
Organised with excellent attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
Team player who collaborates effectively with technicians and other staff members. This role offers an engaging environment where your technical knowledge and interpersonal skills can thrive, contributing positively to both customer satisfaction and business success.

Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
