Job Summary

This is a full time role & would not be suitable for students or those returning to education at the beginning of the academic year

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and a passion for coffee are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately, providing friendly and attentive service.
Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and surfaces regularly.
Manage stock levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when replenishment is needed.
Upsell products where appropriate to enhance customer experience and maximise sales.
Handle cash register operations accurately and process payments securely.
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe environment for colleagues and customers.
Assist team members in keeping the store clean and tidy

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is necessary
Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required.
Basic numeracy skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
A positive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
