Full job description

At Inspire, we are looking for an Employment & Skills Coach to join our Youth Employment Service, supporting young people aged 16–24 who are not currently in education, employment or training (NEET).

This is a hugely rewarding role where you’ll make a real difference—working one-to-one with young people to build confidence, develop skills, and support them into positive futures.

About the role

As an Employment & Skills Coach, you will:

Support young people with a range of needs to progress into employment, education or training
Manage your own caseload, tracking progress and outcomes
Deliver Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG), including CV support and interview preparation
Run engaging 1-1 sessions and group workshops on employability skills
Match young people to job and training opportunities
Build strong relationships with local partners, employers, and communities You’ll also play a key role in helping us achieve meaningful outcomes, with a strong focus on supporting young people into sustainable employment and learning opportunities.

What we’re looking for

Essential:

Experience delivering Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)
Experience working with young people (youth work, outreach or similar)
Experience delivering employability or skills-based sessions
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage your own workload
We’d love it if you also have:
Experience supporting young people who are NEET
Knowledge of local labour market opportunities
Experience working with partner organisations such as Jobcentre Plus or education providers

Salary: £24,762 – £28,117

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Fixed-term until March 2028

Location: Mobile role across Lowestoft (office base in Lowestoft)

Driving licence and access to a car essential
