Qualified Dental Nurse – Part-Time (3 Days per Week)

We are currently seeking a qualified Dental Nurse to join our independent dental practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a small, friendly, and supportive team where patient care and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

Position Details:

Role: Qualified Dental Nurse
Hours: Part-time – 3 days per week
Location: Top of North Hill in Colchester city centre

About You:

Hold a recognised UK dental nursing qualification (e.g. NEBDN or equivalent)
GDC registered (or eligible to register)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, organised, and a strong team player
Committed to providing high-quality patient care

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Assisting the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures
Preparing and maintaining the clinical environment, including decontamination and sterilisation of instruments
Ensuring all cross-infection control procedures are followed in line with current guidelines
Providing chairside support and ensuring patient comfort at all times
Updating and maintaining accurate patient records
Supporting reception duties when required, including greeting patients and managing appointments
Maintaining stock levels and ordering dental supplies
Adhering to all practice policies, CQC requirements, and GDC standards
