Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual with experience in baking within a butchery to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of food safety standards and be committed to producing high-quality baking and meat products. This role offers an opportunity to work within a professional environment that values precision, safety, and efficiency. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and processing meat products in accordance with industry standards and company policies.

Duties

Production of bakery products including pies, bread and confectionery
Ensuring all products meet quality and safety standards, including HACCP compliance
Operating equipment safely and efficiently, including mechanical tools
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the work area in accordance with food safety regulations
Assisting with inventory management and stock rotation to minimise waste
Adhering to all health and safety protocols during daily operations
Recording production data accurately using basic maths skills for weighing and measurements
Collaborating with team members to meet production targets and deadlines

Requirements

Proven experience in bakery and meat processing roles
Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations
Strong understanding of food production processes within a bakery/butchery environment
Mechanical knowledge related to butchery equipment is advantageous
Basic maths skills for measurements, weight calculations, and inventory management
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the workplace

Pay: £12.72-£15.00 per hour
