Full job description

At Crumbs & Doilies, we make some of the UK’s best cakes, cupcakes, brownies and cookies using the finest ingredients and a team that genuinely cares about quality. Our Wandsworth HQ Bakery is the engine room of the business ; producing high volumes of products daily for our shop, online customers and corporate orders.

Behind the creativity is a fast-paced production environment that relies on precision, organisation, efficiency and teamwork. We are looking for an experienced baker who thrives in a busy kitchen, takes pride in consistency and quality, and can confidently keep production moving smoothly and efficiently. We use 30 litre mixers as part of our daily production process, so confidence working with larger-scale bakery equipment is important.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced bakery production team member to take ownership of baking production at our Wandsworth HQ.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working at pace, managing priorities effectively, and producing consistently high-quality products in a high-volume environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Efficiency

Following recipes accurately and consistently to ensure all daily production targets are achieved
Baking cakes, brownies, cupcakes and cookies to a consistently high standard
Working efficiently to ensure products are ready on time for decorating and packing teams
Maximising oven usage and production flow throughout the day
Preparing and balling large batches of cookie dough efficiently and accurately
Maintaining a clean, organised and well-structured workstation
Supporting smooth day-to-day kitchen operations and adapting quickly to changing production needs

Quality Control

Maintaining exceptional product quality, consistency and presentation across all ranges
Monitoring bakes closely and troubleshooting issues when needed
Ensuring all products meet Crumbs & Doilies standards before leaving the kitchen

About You

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a bakery, production kitchen or similar fast-paced food environment
Confident working in high-volume production
Organised, efficient and able to prioritise effectively under pressure
Calm, reliable and solutions-focused
Strong attention to detail and pride in consistency
Passionate about quality, production standards and teamwork
Comfortable working to tight deadlines without compromising standards
