About the Role

The Vale Medical Practice are looking for an enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our friendly and forward-thinking team. This GP role is designed to let you focus on patients.

It is an excellent opportunity to work in a digitally advanced, low-admin environment with a strong focus on work-life balance, team support and career development.

Paper-light, digital-first practice with streamlined and efficient systems
Minimal administrative burden for GPs, with excellent clinical and admin support
Streamlined total triage system with pre-consultation work-up and prioritisation, enabling timely access, reduced pressure in clinics, and more meaningful consultations
Protected time for follow-ups and continuity of care
Expanding portfolio of onsite outpatient clinics, supporting closer collaboration with secondary care and developing opportunities in teaching and service design
Opportunity to undertake Extended Access sessions for additional flexibility and income
Supportive team culture with regular team-building and social events
Weekly clinical meetings for shared learning and peer support
Free onsite parking at both sites and excellent accessibility
Growing, relatively affluent patient population with fewer language barriers
Training practice with GP trainees and medical students
Research-active (NIHR-aligned) with opportunities to get involved
Encouragement of portfolio careers and development of special interests

Key information:

4 sessions per week (flexible and negotiable)
Competitive salary: £10,500 – £11,250 per session (depending on experience)
Permanent position (long-term locum also considered)
Optional extended access sessions:
- Mon/Wed 5–8pm
- £100/hour (Ltd company)

About the Candidate

All applicants should have the following qualifications:

Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
Be on the NHSE medical performers list

and skills, including:

Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services;
Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date;
Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety;
Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice;
