Full job description

Warehouse / Yard Operative

At Precon Products Ltd, we keep construction projects moving by delivering the right products to the right place, on time. We’re now looking for a Warehouse / Yard Operative to join our team and play a key role in keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly.

If you enjoy practical, hands-on work, take pride in doing things properly, and value being part of a supportive team, we’d be pleased to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Picking, packing, wrapping, labelling, and preparing orders for dispatch
Checking loads carefully to ensure accuracy before dispatch
Unloading deliveries and storing stock in designated locations
Managing stock rotation (FIFO) and supporting stock checks and audits
Operating forklift and telehandler equipment safely and competently
Carrying out basic equipment checks and reporting defects promptly
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse and yard environment
Following all health and safety procedures at all times

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

Previous warehouse or yard experience
Valid Forklift Counterbalance/Reach licence
Valid Telehandler licence (desirable)
Confident operating materials-handling equipment safely
A practical, hands-on approach to work
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
Clear communication skills
