Full job description

Position: Lettings Negotiator

Salary: £26,500.00 - £27,000.00

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9.00am – 6.00pm

Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays

Start date: ASAP

Type: 6 Month position with potential to become permanent

This is a collaborative position focused on letting student accommodation, combining sales responsibilities with office administration. You’ll join a young, friendly team in a busy working environment where personal initiative and motivation are key. While previous experience is not essential, successful candidates will demonstrate confidence, a positive attitude, and cater their approach to a variety of customers.

Building strong, positive relationships with university students is central to this role. Having previously studied at the University of Hull and possessing good local knowledge are desirable, but not essential.

Key responsibilities:

Welcome and assist customers and tenants at the front of house.
Respond to enquiries via phone, email, and social media.
Proactively pursue and develop new leads.
Contact existing tenants to encourage lease renewals.
Organise and conduct property viewings.
Recommend suitable properties based on customer needs.
Follow up after viewings to gather feedback and progress the letting process.
Prepare tenancy agreements and explain terms to prospective tenants
Maintain an organised viewings diary with suitable note keeping.
Manage lettings-related administration efficiently.
Support colleagues with general office duties as required.
Handle tenant queries and complaints
Forward maintenance enquiries to the relevant tradespeople
Assist with the creation of marketing materials and promotional content.
Oversee social media accounts, create online adverts, and update the website.

Key requirements:

Full UK drivers’ licence and use of own car with 4 passenger seats.
Excellent customer service.
Confidence and a can-do attitude.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Efficiency use of IT and Microsoft Office.
