Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Electricians Mate to join our team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in electrical installation and maintenance projects. The successful candidate will work closely with qualified electricians, assisting with various tasks on-site across a range of domestic sites but primarily assisting Solar PV installations. This role is ideal for individuals interested in developing a career within the electrical trade, providing valuable training and practical exposure to industry standards and practices.

Responsibilities

Assist qualified electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
Support in running cables, conduit, and wiring throughout sites.
Help with the assembly of electrical components and equipment.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety standards are met.
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently during daily tasks.
Carry out basic measurements and prepare materials as directed by senior team members.
Support in troubleshooting electrical issues under supervision.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in electrical work.
Previous electrical experience or relevant training is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is essential.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions carefully.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Physically fit, capable of working in various environments, including confined spaces or at heights if required.
A valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to travel to different sites is necessary.
