Shifts - are generally 8am to 11pm with a sleep and so on, on a rota basis - 2 on shifts on/3 off. You must be able to adhere to a shift pattern and at least 8 sleeps per month (Mandatory)

We are dedicated to creating a nurturing, compassionate, and supportive environment for children and young people. As a Senior Children's Residential Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our homes provide safety, stability, and opportunities for young people to thrive.

A driving licence is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead by Example: Support and manage care workers on shift, ensuring best practices in care.
Shift Leadership: Oversee daily activities, make key decisions, and ensure smooth shift operations.
Safeguarding & Behaviour Support: Help children work through past experiences while promoting their safety and development.
Engagement & Direct Work: Build positive relationships through key working, behaviour management, and life skills development.
Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work alongside social workers, educators, and health professionals to ensure the best outcomes.
Home & Welfare Management: Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children.
Administrative Duties: Complete care plans, risk assessments, and key documentation.

✅ Experience in a residential childcare setting with a strong understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management.
✅ Ability to lead a team and provide supervision and support to care workers.
✅ Strong communication skills to engage with children, families, and professionals.
✅ Compassion, patience, and resilience in supporting young people with challenging behaviours.
✅ Ability to manage housekeeping duties, ensuring a homely environment.
