Full job description

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including stock management, order fulfilment, and goods handling. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience to develop their skills within a fast-paced environment. The role involves physical tasks such as heavy lifting and load handling, requiring attention to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Handling materials efficiently and safely across various stages of the warehouse process
Managing shipping and receiving operations, including checking deliveries and preparing outgoing orders
Utilising warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and update stock records accurately
Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch with precision and attention to detail
Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation
Conducting quality control inspections to ensure products meet company standards
Assisting with load and unload activities, ensuring goods are moved securely and efficiently
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times

Experience

Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is highly desirable
Practical understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, picking & packing processes, and stock management
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure accuracy in stock control and quality checks

Pay: £12.71 per hour
