Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Worker to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to high-quality projects across various sectors. Candidates should possess strong mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand tools and tooling, ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and specifications. Must have knowledge on camduct.

Duties

Fabricate sheet metal components according to technical drawings and specifications
Use hand tools, power tools, camduct and specialised tooling to cut, shape, grind, and assemble sheet metal parts
Perform welding and grinding tasks to join components securely and achieve desired finishes
Measure materials accurately using basic maths skills to ensure precise fabrication
Assist in the installation and assembly of sheet metal structures on-site or in the workshop
Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication process to maintain high standards
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience in fabrication, welding, grinding, or related roles within sheet metal work
Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of assembly processes and tooling operations
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment used in sheet metal fabrication
Ability to interpret technical drawings and perform basic mathematical calculations for measurements
Familiarity with safety procedures relevant to working with sheet metal and industrial equipment
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure quality workmanship
Prior experience working with sheet metal materials
