Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly ,experienced and efficient Barista to join our team. Daytime shifts only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays , you will be required to work most weekends ,usually starting work at 8am or 9am and finishing around 4pm.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant café/bakery setting, engaging with diverse customers .

A passion for coffee and customer satisfaction is essential to thrive in this position.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service.
Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and operate the POS system.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in accordance with food safety standards.
Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required.
Manage stock levels by replenishing supplies as needed and notifying management of inventory shortages.
Uphold health and safety regulations at all times, including proper food handling procedures.
Foster a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with customers professionally and courteously.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Barista working with high volume is essential;
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
Experience with serving customers in a fast-paced environment is essential
Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour to ensure positive customer interactions.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends .
