Job Overview

LIVE IN AVAILABLE
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, ensuring that food preparation areas are hygienic and well-stocked. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the hospitality industry, particularly those with an interest in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant operations.

Duties

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising all kitchen utensils, cookware, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by senior kitchen staff.
Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift.
Restocking supplies and organising storage areas to facilitate efficient kitchen operations.
Supporting the team during busy service periods by helping with serving and other hospitality duties as required.
Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential.
Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen procedures is desirable.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary arts and hospitality services.
Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting and cleaning. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking hands-on experience within a professional kitchen environment, with opportunities for growth within the hospitality sector.

Pay: £12.90-£13.50 per hour
