Overview

R & J Yorkshires Finest Farmers & Butchers are a family run business established in 1978 and we pride ourselves on Quality, Consistency and No Compromise. Due to expansion and the increasing growth of the company we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic person to join our team. As a Catering Butcher we supply many Top Eating Establishments throughout Yorkshire and beyond so are seeking a team player to join our hardworking factory floor.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Labeller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately applying labels to products and packaging, ensuring proper organisation and traceability within our inventory system. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge to contribute to efficient operations in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience with materials handling, forklift operation, and warehouse management systems is advantageous.

Duties

Label products accurately according to specified guidelines, ensuring correct placement and legibility
Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing items for dispatch
Manage stock levels through picking, packing, and stocking activities to maintain optimal inventory levels
Conduct quality control checks on labelled items to ensure compliance with standards
Perform heavy lifting as required during stock replenishment or order fulfilment tasks
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols

Experience

Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in roles involving picking & packing, stock management, or shipping & receiving
Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for understanding equipment operation and troubleshooting issues
Experience with forklift operation is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided for suitable candidates
Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently is essential
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail are important for maintaining accuracy in labelling and inventory records

This role provides a dynamic working environment where organisational skills and mechanical aptitude are valued. Candidates should be proactive, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Full Training will be provided. Due to location of factory must have own transport.
