Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise within a dynamic hospitality environment, contributing to the overall guest experience and operational success.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and are prepared in a timely manner
Manage food safety protocols, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, catering to diverse customer preferences
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
Train and mentor staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and service standards
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service delivery and optimise guest satisfaction
Maintain a positive team atmosphere through effective leadership and communication

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant setting
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrated ability in team management and leadership roles within hospitality environments
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Experience in food production for diverse menus and dietary requirements
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure during busy periods
Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service standards
Ability to inspire creativity among team members while maintaining consistency in quality
