Full job description

Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Groundworker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks including and not limited to excavation, laying foundations, curbing, concreting and installing drainage systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong understand of the construction industry and be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy machinery.
Use hand tools, power tools to construct and repair roads, buildings and other structures.
Support excavation tasks by digging trenches or holes as required for foundations or utilities
Maintain safety protocols at all times, ensuring the work area is secure and hazard-free
Assist with the delivery and organisation of materials on-site
Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
Follow instructions from supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards

Requirements

Previous Groundwork experience is essential.
Strong physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to ground work activities
Ability to operate basic tools and machinery safely; training will be provided for specialised equipment if necessary
Experience in foundations, drainage and concreting preferred
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team environment
Full driving licence is required
Willingness to work nationwide and stay away when required preferred

Pay: £14.00-£20.00 per hour
