Full job description

The Installation Manager role is a key position within A1 Bathrooms & Kitchens and carries responsibility for helping to ensure our installations are planned, organised and delivered properly from start to finish.

A strong background in plumbing, along with experience installing bathrooms & kitchens is essential.

The role involves a mixture of office-based work, time on the road, site visits, customer communication, staff and installer management, job planning, Health & Safety responsibilities, and general problem solving.

The normal start time for the role is 7:30am in the office.

The salary for the role is £40,000 - £45,000 per annum based on experience. The position will be subject to a six-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the role and salary will be reviewed.

The main responsibilities include:

Planning installation work several weeks ahead.

Organising labour, installers, subcontractors and trades.

Site surveys ahead of works starting.

Coordinating plumbing, plastering, electrics, tiling, decorating and other required works.

Liaising with customers before, during and after their installation.

Working closely with the sales team to ensure job details are properly handed over.

Working closely with purchasing to ensure products, materials and special-order items are available when needed.

Visiting sites to check progress, quality, standards and any issues.

Visiting potential customers to look at jobs and liaising with the sales staff so they can compile quotes.

Supporting installers and subcontractors with queries or problems.

Managing customer expectations and dealing with any concerns professionally.

Monitoring job timings, delays, snagging and completion dates.

Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed on site.

Keeping proper records, notes and updates on jobs.

Helping maintain the standards and reputation expected of A1 Bathrooms & Kitchens.

The role requires someone who is organised, practical, confident with people, and able to communicate well with customers, installers, subcontractors, suppliers, the sales team, purchasing and management.

Good administration skills are important, as the role is not purely site-based. There will be regular office work, planning, updating, checking information and following up on outstanding matters.

Leadership is also a key part of the position. The successful person will need to manage staff, installers and subcontractors in a fair but firm way, encourage good standards, deal with poor attitude or lack of cooperation where necessary, and help create a positive and professional working environment.

Health & Safety is also an important responsibility. The role will require someone who understands the importance of site safety, is willing to follow and enforce company procedures, and is comfortable dealing with situations where standards are not being met.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
