General Manager – Toast & Timber, Abergavenny

Full Time | Competitive Salary | Daytime Hours

We’re looking for an exceptional General Manager to join Toast & Timber and help lead our growing independent business.

Toast & Timber is a busy brunch house and coffee shop in the heart of Abergavenny, built from the ground up with passion, hard work and a genuine love for hospitality. Following a hugely successful opening, we’re looking for a hands-on leader who shares our values and wants to grow with the company as we continue to expand.

The Role

As General Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business, ensuring every guest receives outstanding service whilst leading, developing and inspiring the team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves people, and wants to play a key role in shaping the future of an independent hospitality brand.

Working Hours

Primarily daytime hours
Shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm
Earlier finish on Sundays
Weekend availability required

Key Responsibilities

Leading and motivating the front and back of house teams
Delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences
Managing daily operations and service standards
Recruiting, training and developing team members
Driving sales and profitability
Managing labour, stock control and costs
Ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety and company procedures
Handling customer feedback professionally and proactively
Supporting the growth and development of the Toast & Timber brand

About You

Previous experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager or Senior Manager within hospitality
Strong leadership and people management skills
Passionate about customer service and creating great experiences
Commercially aware with experience managing KPIs and budgets
Organised, proactive and able to lead by example
Positive, energetic and solutions-focused
A genuine desire to grow with an ambitious independent business
