Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods during overnight shifts, ensuring timely deliveries to a national hub. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on double deck trailers , seeking a reliable night-time position.

Responsibilities

Operate HGV Class 1 lorries, primarily double deck vehicles, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations
Conduct pre-journey safety inspections of the vehicle and report any issues promptly
Safely load and secure cargo , ensuring proper weight distribution and stability
Deliver goods to designated location within scheduled timeframes, maintaining punctuality
Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
Follow company policies regarding driving hours and rest periods to ensure compliance with legal requirements
Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues during deliveries
Assist with unloading goods if required, following health and safety guidelines

Qualifications

Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with double deck trailers and delivery routes
Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of UK road networks and traffic regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently
Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer service
Ability to work night shifts consistently and reliably
