Accounts Assistant - Builders Merchant

This newly available position is based out of our head office depot in Aldershot, Hampshire but may suit candidates living in other nearby locations.

Plastech (Southern) Limited are a private and independently owned plastic pipework distribution organisation with branches in Aldershot, Hampshire and Colchester, Essex. We specialise in the supply of specialist underground plastic pipework products and associated groundworks materials to builders, groundworkers and civil engineers.

Due to continued expansion and an increase in the accounting workload we are now looking to recruit an assistant to the Finance Manager. This role will require the suitable candidate to assist in the day-to-day smooth running of the accounting processes of both depots with tasks such as purchase ledger, credit control, processing supplier and customer invoices, monitoring credit limits and general day to day accounting tasks.

The suitable candidate will be keen and eager and willing to grow their knowledge within an ever-growing business. Prior knowledge and use of computers and Microsoft Excel and Word are essential and whilst knowledge and prior use of the Sage 50 Cloud Accounts System would be essential.

The working hours are 8.00AM to 5.00PM Monday to Thursday and 8.00AM to 4.00PM – a 39-hour week.

Salary negotiable dependent on experience.
