About the role:

We are seeking a Production Operative to join our dynamic manufacturing team at our Lincoln House site on a permanent basis. This role offers an opportunity to start a rewarding career with DFS. As a Production Operative, you will learn the factory processes and the materials needed to manufacture our furniture.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with colleagues across manufacturing and logistics to keep products moving efficiently through the dispatch process, maintaining accuracy, safety and productivity at every stage. Whether you're checking orders, preparing furniture for transport or loading delivery vehicles, your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help deliver the exceptional customer experience that DFS is known for.

Competitive Pay & Work-Life Balance:Salary of £25,866 per annum + Benefits package
Location: Lincoln House Somercotes , Alfreton DE55 4QQ
Hours: Full Time. 39 hours per week.
Shifts: Day Shift Monday to Friday
Monday Thursday - 6:00 am – 1:50 pmFriday - 6:00 am – 2:05 pm

What you'll be doing:

Initially, your responsibilities will include ensuring that materials and products are available throughout the factory, which will involve significant manual lifting and require stamina. As you become proficient in your role and gain a deeper understanding of the products, you can choose to develop specialised skills such as upholstery or sewing, providing you with excellent opportunities for growth and increased earnings.

No prior experience is necessary—only a desire to succeed and a willingness to learn.
