Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Tandoori Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic tandoori dishes, supervising kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise within a vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal applicant will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a deep understanding of food production and safety protocols. This position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to delivering exceptional Indian cuisine in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook authentic tandoori dishes with precision and consistency, maintaining traditional flavours and presentation standards.
Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations.
Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards before serving.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste through effective stock control.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and sanitation throughout all kitchen activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production, specialising in Indian cuisine or tandoori cooking.
Supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable.
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
Demonstrable leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a professional kitchen setting.
Previous restaurant experience with a focus on hospitality service is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
A passion for culinary excellence and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
