Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Catering Manager

Term time only 38 weeks role for a catering assistant in a high school. Experience preferred in food preparation and working as a team.
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality catering services.. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality and catering industry, working in a fast-paced environment that values professionalism and customer satisfaction. The Catering Assistant will be responsible for assisting with food service, preparation, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained throughout all operations.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and presentation to meet quality standards
Serve school meals efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the catering area, including equipment and utensils
Support in setting up and clearing dining areas
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times
Replenish supplies as needed during service periods
Provide excellent customer services by attending to our customers needs promptly and professionally
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during service periods

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant environments is desirable
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures desirable although training will be provided.
Experience in food preparation and serving is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with our customers
A professional attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction and teamwork
