Community Coordinator – Macclesfield, Bollington – Cheshire East

Salary: £25,987.00 Per annum (pro-rata for part time)

At MHA Communities, we support older people to reduce loneliness and social isolation by creating welcoming opportunities to connect, build friendships and enjoy life. As our Community Coordinator in Cheshire East , you'll play a key role in shaping activities that make a lasting difference to people's wellbeing.

## About the role

Working across Macclesfield, Bollington and other local areas, you'll coordinate and deliver a varied programme of activities that reflects the interests and needs of local older people. Every day is different, giving you the opportunity to use your creativity, initiative and people skills to develop engaging community opportunities.

You'll:

Coordinate and deliver a range of community activities that promote friendship, wellbeing and independence.

Develop new groups and activities based on local need and participant feedback.

Support existing activities, including social groups, lunch clubs, outings and wellbeing sessions.

Coordinate the administration of activities, including bookings and attendance records.

Manage established activities such as our lunch clubs at Macclesfield and Bollington.

Prepare and serve light refreshments, with some activities involving food preparation or lunch clubs depending on local need and funding.

Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office and other digital systems.

## We're looking for someone who:

Enjoys working with people and building relationships.

Is organised, enthusiastic and able to work independently.

Has good communication and administrative skills.

Is confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and other digital systems.

Is willing to prepare and serve refreshments and support food-based activities.

Has a full driving licence and access to a car, as travel across the local area is required.
