Location: Head Office – Altrincham, Cheshire
Job Type: Full-Time (6 Month Maternity Cover)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Gunn JCB as a Sales Administrator within our Machinery Sales division.
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to support our sales operation at Head Office. This pivotal administrative role requires a professional approach, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Communication

Respond to telephone enquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
Liaise effectively with internal departments to support the full sales process.

Order Processing & Invoicing

Accurately process machinery orders and raise sales invoices.
Ensure all documentation related to purchases and sales is completed promptly and to company standards.

Order Management & Coordination

Monitor the status of machinery orders, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure timely delivery.
Proactively follow up on outstanding orders and keep customers and internal colleagues informed of progress.

Internal Collaboration

Work closely with the Service and Parts departments to resolve any vehicle-related queries.
Verify correct installation of accessories and attachments prior to delivery.

Administration & Data Entry

Enter sales and machine data accurately into internal systems.
Maintain organised and up-to-date electronic and paper records, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar administrative or sales support role (ideally within machinery, automotive, or a related commercial environment).
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn internal systems (training will be provided).
A team-orientated and proactive approach with a willingness to learn.
