Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Support Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing essential support to nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and communication skills, along with a compassionate approach to patient support. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within the healthcare sector, contributing positively to patient wellbeing and recovery.

Duties

Assist nursing staff with the implementation of care plans tailored to individual patient needs
Support patients with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, and feeding
Monitor and record vital signs and other relevant health information accurately
Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
Utilise IT systems to update patient records and document care activities efficiently
Organise supplies and equipment required for patient care to ensure readiness at all times
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and procedures

Requirements

Prior experience or knowledge in nursing or healthcare support is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with patients and team members
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Basic IT literacy for updating electronic health records and documentation purposes
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support patient wellbeing
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability

Pay: £12.71-£12.81 per hour
