Overview

We are looking for staff for Saturday/ Sunday/ Monday

Join our vibrant team as a Cafe Assistant/Barista and become the heart of a lively, welcoming coffee environment! In this role, you’ll craft delicious beverages, serve customers with enthusiasm, and ensure every visit is a positive experience. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a warm atmosphere where customers feel valued and appreciated. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service while working in a dynamic setting that celebrates teamwork and quality service.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation
Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide friendly, efficient service throughout their visit
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including counters, tables, equipment, and storage spaces
Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks according to safety standards
Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure hygiene and compliance with health regulations
Manage cash register transactions accurately using basic math skills; process payments swiftly and give correct change
Assist with stock replenishment by monitoring inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed to keep the cafe running smoothly

Experience

Previous barista experience or familiarity with coffee preparation is preferred but NOT essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a clean and safe environment for both staff and customers
Experience in serving customers in fast-paced settings helps deliver excellent service under pressure
Strong time management abilities to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative and independence when needed
