Senior Carer

Location: 209 Point Clear Road , St Osyth, CO16 8JD
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Salary: To be discussed at interview

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Senior Carer to join our family run and dedicated care team. As a Senior Carer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting and supervising care staff to ensure the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

Administer medication in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Lead and supervise care staff during shifts.
Complete and maintain accurate care records and documentation.
Review person-centred care plans.
Liaise with healthcare professionals, relatives, and other agencies.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and safeguarding concerns.
Support the induction, mentoring, and ongoing development of new care staff.
Promote dignity, independence, choice, and respect for all service users.

Requirements

Previous experience working as a Senior Carer or experienced Care Assistant.
NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
Medication administration training.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
A caring, compassionate, and professional approach.
Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays where required.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
