Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong technical background and a passion for problem-solving within a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to develop their skills further while contributing to the smooth running of our operations.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
Diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic tools and techniques
Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems efficiently
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
Collaborate with other team members to ensure safety standards are upheld
Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as required
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
Keep the workshop clean, organised, and well-maintained to promote safety and efficiency

Qualifications

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams accurately
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent are preferred
Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
