Full job description

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and dependable Service Administrator to support service records, customer enquiries, scheduling, data entry, and general administration.

You will update service information, maintain spreadsheets, process documents, coordinate routine appointments, and assist technical colleagues with accurate administrative support.

Previous engineering or alternative-fuel experience is helpful but not essential. Training on company systems, procedures, and technical terminology will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Enter and update customer and service information
Maintain service records, spreadsheets, and digital files
Schedule routine service appointments and activities
Prepare service forms and administrative documents
Update equipment and customer account information
Monitor outstanding service requests
Respond to routine customer enquiries
Check documents for missing or incorrect information
Prepare basic activity and service reports
Maintain engineer schedules and appointment records
Organise technical and customer documentation
Scan, upload, and archive service records
Coordinate routine information with technical teams
Maintain supplier and customer contact details
Handle business and customer information confidentially
Support general data-entry and office administration when required

What We Are Looking For

Experience

Previous experience in administration, data entry, customer service, retail, or office support is helpful but not essential
Applications from career starters and candidates changing industries are welcome
Experience in engineering, energy, automotive, or technical services is beneficial but not required

Skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good computer and keyboard skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
Good organisation and time-management abilities
Clear written and verbal communication
Ability to enter and review information accurately
Willingness to learn technical terminology and service systems
Ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines
Professional approach to customer communication
Responsible handling of confidential information
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

GCSEs or equivalent qualifications are preferred
A university degree is not required
Relevant administrative, customer-service, technical, or practical experience will be considered

Pay: £26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
