Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Decorator / Trainee Decorator to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the decorating industry. The position involves assisting with various decorating tasks, gaining hands-on experience, and learning the trade under the guidance of experienced professionals. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality work and eager to expand their knowledge of decorating techniques.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparation and application of paint, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes on various surfaces
Support the team in surface preparation, including sanding, filling, and priming
Follow instructions from senior decorators to ensure work is completed to a high standard
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including tools and materials
Learn and adhere to health and safety regulations at all time
Help in setting up work sites and ensuring all necessary equipment is available and functional

Skills

Basic understanding of construction painting techniques is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Valid driving licence is advantageous for travel between sites
Good communication skills in English to understand instructions and liaise effectively with team members
Strong willingness to learn new skills and develop within the decorating trade
Organised with an eye for detail to ensure quality standards are met
Ability to work safely in a busy environment and follow health and safety guidelines

This position provides a structured pathway into the decorating profession, offering valuable practical experience while supporting ongoing skill development. The role is ideal for individuals passionate about craftsmanship and eager to build a career in decorating.

Pay: Up to £190.00 per day
