Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient appointments, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the smooth running of the front desk. This role offers an opportunity to work in a welcoming environment where organisational skills and attention to detail are highly valued. Previous office or administrative experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
The candidate will also be required to carry out Dental Nursing duties occasionally when sickness/ holiday cover is needed.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
Manage appointment scheduling efficiently using dental practice management software
Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Handle patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, and correspondence
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
Support the dental team with clerical duties to facilitate smooth daily operations

Qualifications

Prior office experience or administrative experience is desirable
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Friendly, approachable manner with a professional attitude
Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office; experience with dental software such as SOE is a plus
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently when required
GDC Registration
