Job Summary

NO COS (Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.)
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant (HCA) to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' comfort, and promoting their well-being. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
Support with meal preparation and feeding as required
Help implement individualised care plans in collaboration with the care team
Monitor residents’ health and report any concerns to senior staff promptly
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure holistic care
Support residents’ emotional well-being through companionship and engagement activities
Drive or accompany residents to appointments or outings when necessary

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving transportation of residents
Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Basic IT skills for recording and updating care plans and documentation
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with residents and team members
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
A caring attitude, patience, and respect for residents’ dignity and privacy

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary
Contract length: 36 months

Pay: £12.21-£25.26 per hour
