Assembly Operator

Purpose of the Job

Raytec are looking for a skilled Assembly Operator to work on a production line building electronic lighting assemblies to a high quality at an appropriate production rate.

Location

The role of Assembly Operative requires working from our office in Ashington Mon – Fri and reports to the Production Manager

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Product build, testing and packing to agreed quality standards at an appropriate rate of production.
Complete paperwork as required.
Support with regular cycle counts and stock checks.
To maintain required housekeeping standards.
Actively participate in continuous improvement activity.
Other production related activity as requested.

Personal Specification

Essential

Relevant production experience, particularly in hand assembly of electromechanical products.
Knowledge of health & safety principles and practice.
Able to work under pressure.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Be receptive to training and change.

Desirable

Awareness of LEAN manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
