Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and creating a welcoming environment for guests. The successful applicant will play a key role in driving sales, initiating and supervising food and drink events, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

Duties

Oversee daily bar and restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service delivery.
Supervise and train staff, including bartenders, servers
Manage inventory levels of beverages, food supplies, and other stock items; place orders as necessary.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas.
Develop new drink menus and promotional offers to enhance customer experience.
Monitor customer satisfaction levels and address any complaints or concerns promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with health regulations.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and optimal service flow.
Promote a positive team environment through effective leadership and communication.

Requirements

Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, preferably within a bar or similar setting.
Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management skills.
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
Experience with serving in a hospitality environment; craft beer experience is advantageous.
Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
Previous experience in hotel or restaurant environments is desirable.
Strong understanding of hospitality operations, including food production and beverage service.
Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service at all times. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a vibrant team within a busy hospitality setting while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
